Rooted in care. Measured in impact. Powered by community.

We deliver culturally responsive mental health education, healing spaces, and pathways to care across schools and communities — meeting Black women and girls where they are and supporting the ecosystems around them.

  • We help remove financial and systemic barriers to mental health care by connecting participants to culturally responsive therapy and mental health resources. Our therapy assistance program supports individuals and families who may otherwise lack access to care.

  • We host monthly support groups — both in-person and virtual — that center healing through shared experience and community care.

    Our support groups focus on:

    • Intergenerational connection and healing

    • Specific lived experiences and intersections of identity

    • Queer-affirming support spaces

    • Grief and loss support

Each group is facilitated with intention, cultural responsiveness, and care.

Where Wellness Blooms Freely

Founded in 2012, Black Girls Smile, Inc. is a national nonprofit dedicated to advancing the mental health and well-being of young Black women and girls. We provide culturally and gender-responsive education, healing spaces, and resource connections that center joy, resilience, and community care.

Our work is rooted in the belief that mental wellness is a right — and that healing thrives when it is accessible, affirming, and community-led.
